The definition
What counts as a popular ad in 2026
“Popular ad” is a slippery term. On Meta the official Ad Library shows every active ad - no popularity signal at all. On TikTok the Creative Center shows top performers but only bucketed (high/medium/low). On LinkedIn the Ads Library lists ads with engagement counts. The actual question - which ads are working- has no canonical answer outside the brand's own attribution dashboard.
We use three signals that are publicly observable and correlate tightly with real performance:
Time on platform
Ads alive >60 days on the same creative have survived Meta's auto-rotation. Strongest single-signal proxy for performance.
Variant count
Brands ship 6-12 variants when they find a winner. High variant count is the brand telling you they want to scale this concept.
Cross-platform deployment
When the same creative shows up on Meta and TikTok simultaneously, the brand has high enough confidence to spend across platforms.
