Watch out

Hidden costs

  • TikTok Shop locked to Premium even in 2025

Through all of 2025, TikTok Shop ad library access required Premium tier ($99/mo) or above. Starter tier (Meta + TikTok ads only) was insufficient for any Shopify-TikTok hybrid brand. This was the single biggest source of upgrade friction in 2025 and remains so in 2026.

  • Pricing moved on Business tier mid-2026

Business tier moved from $279/mo to $299/mo and from $229 annual to $239 annual at the start of 2026. Existing customers on annual contracts kept 2025 pricing through their renewal date. New signups in 2026 paid the higher rate.

  • Influencer search bundled mid-2025

Until mid-2025, influencer search was a $19/mo add-on on top of Premium. In Q3 2025 it became bundled into Premium tier without an upcharge. If you were paying for it separately, the bundling effectively dropped your bill by $19/mo without changing the underlying capability.

  • Annual prepay savings widened in late-2025

Annual discount widened from ~15% to ~20% in late-2025 as Minea pushed harder on annual conversion. Customers on monthly billing at the time were offered annual conversions with discount-stack incentives - some users got effective 25-30% off list by converting mid-cycle.

  • API access remained limited throughout 2025

Business-tier API access was announced in 2024 but stayed feature-thin throughout 2025. Read-only on most endpoints, undocumented in several places, and rate-limited tightly. Customers building automated workflows kept using browser-based scraping despite the official API existing.

Minea's 2025 pricing in context

2025 was the year Minea consolidated its position as the multi-platform ad-spy tool covering Meta, TikTok, TikTok Shop, Pinterest and influencer research. Pricing reflected that positioning: cheaper than AdSpy at $149/mo flat, broader coverage than Foreplay at $59/mo, and more focused than the build-it-yourself path of stitching together native ad libraries.

Free tier ran throughout 2025 as a UX demo - limited search, no real research utility. Starter at $49/mo was the cheapest paid tier and covered Meta + TikTok ad libraries with full filters. Premium at $99/mo unlocked the differentiated libraries (TikTok Shop, Pinterest) and influencer search - the tier most paying customers landed on. Business at $279/mo (rising to $299 in early 2026) was the team/agency tier.

The big 2025 shifts were less about price and more about feature consolidation. Influencer search moved from $19/mo add-on into Premium bundle. TikTok Shop coverage matured significantly through Q2-Q3. Annual discount widened from ~15% to ~20% as Minea pushed harder on annual conversion.

What changed in Minea pricing through 2025

Q1 2025: baseline pricing held from late-2024. Free, Starter $49, Premium $99, Business $279. Influencer search was a $19/mo add-on. TikTok Shop coverage existed but with gaps.

Q2 2025: TikTok Shop coverage matured significantly. Pinterest organic search improved. Advertiser tracking caps widened on Premium tier from 200 to 250. No price moves.

Q3 2025: influencer search bundled into Premium - effectively a $19/mo price drop for users who'd been paying for it separately. Annual discount widened from 15% to 20% as Minea pushed annual conversion. AI-insight feature launched in beta on Premium.

Q4 2025: AI insights moved from beta to GA on Premium and Business. Custom competitor alerting added to Business tier. Pricing announcements signalled a Business-tier increase coming in early-2026.

Early 2026: Business tier moved from $279 to $299 monthly and from $229 to $239 annual. Existing annual customers kept old pricing through renewal. Everything else held flat.

Who Minea 2025 pricing fit best

Best fit: DTC brands $1-10M/yr with active paid social spend across Meta and TikTok, particularly with any Shopify-TikTok-Shop overlap. Premium at $99/mo gave them everything they needed: Meta + TikTok + TikTok Shop libraries, 250 advertisers tracked, AI summaries, 3 seats. Genuinely competitive value.

Marginal fit: small agencies. Premium's 3-seat cap forced Business tier ($279/mo) for any team larger than 3 people. At that point the math vs running 2x Premium accounts ($198/mo combined) became real - and 2x Premium often won for sub-6-person teams who didn't need role-based permissions.

Bad fit: Meta-only deep research workflows. AdSpy at $149/mo had deeper Meta search and better historical data. Minea's broader coverage didn't outweigh the depth gap for Meta-only users. See best-facebook-ad-spy-tool for that comparison.

The 2025 sweet spot: brands that wanted one tool to cover their entire ad-research need across Meta, TikTok, TikTok Shop and Pinterest. Minea Premium hit that brief without the complexity of stacking 2-3 specialist tools.

Minea 2025 vs the competition that year

vs. AdSpy ($149/mo): Minea Premium at $99/mo undercut on price and matched on coverage breadth. AdSpy retained deeper Meta-specific search and longer historical data. The split: Minea for breadth, AdSpy for depth on Meta. Many serious teams ran both.

vs. Foreplay ($59/mo): Foreplay was curation-first (boards, briefs, swipe-files). Minea was search-first. Different jobs in the workflow. Most teams running serious creative research used both - Foreplay for inspiration boards, Minea for deeper search.

vs. PipiAds ($77-263/mo): PipiAds was TikTok-Shop-specialised. Minea Premium covered TikTok Shop as part of broader coverage. PipiAds won on TikTok-Shop depth; Minea won on broader use case fit.

vs. native ad libraries (free): Meta Ad Library and TikTok Creative Center are free but search is shallow, no advertiser tracking, no AI insights, no export. Minea Starter at $49/mo replaced the manual workflow with structured search and tracking. Worth it for any team doing more than ad-hoc lookups.

Outlook for 2026: see minea-pricing-2026 for the updated view. Short version: prices mostly held, Business tier nudged up, feature set deepened.

What's the difference between Minea 2025 and 2026 pricing?
Most prices held flat. Business tier moved from $279 to $299/mo (monthly) and from $229 to $239 (annual) in early-2026. Everything else - Free, Starter, Premium - kept the same headline numbers. Feature changes were more material than price changes.
What did the 2025 Minea Premium plan include?
Full Meta + TikTok ad libraries, TikTok Shop + Pinterest libraries, influencer search (bundled mid-2025), tracking up to 250 advertisers, landing-page spy, AI insights (added in Q3), 3 user seats, full export. The recommended tier for most paying users throughout 2025.
Was Minea cheaper than AdSpy in 2025?
Yes - Minea Premium at $99/mo undercut AdSpy at $149/mo. AdSpy retained advantages in Meta search depth and historical data; Minea won on multi-platform breadth (TikTok Shop, Pinterest) and price. The split depended on whether breadth or Meta depth mattered more.
Did Minea offer annual discounts in 2025?
Yes - starting at ~15% in Q1 and widening to ~20% by late-2025 as part of an annual-conversion push. Some users got effective 25-30% by combining the standard annual discount with mid-cycle conversion incentives.
Was the Minea free plan useful for real research in 2025?
No - it was a UX demo. 10-favourite cap, no keyword search, no advertiser tracking, no export. Useful for evaluating whether Minea's interface felt right before paying. Anyone doing actual research needed Starter ($49) at minimum.
Did Minea add features without raising prices in 2025?
Yes consistently. Influencer search moved from $19/mo add-on to bundled in Premium. AI insights launched in Q3 at no extra cost. Tracking caps widened on Premium tier. The 2025 strategy was feature accumulation rather than price increases - until the Business-tier nudge in early-2026.
